On March 28 and April 2 in Kumanovo two educational workshops for Green transition of small and medium enterprises were held. The participants had the opportunity to learn about the process of green transition, energy efficiency, tackling air pollution, ways ofreducing CO2 emissions and waste management.

On the first workshop, the participants were introduced withthe concept and the process ofGreentransition,gaining insights into the vast array of opportunities it presents. They werealsoprovidedwith the basics needed for understanding and implementation of sustainable business practices inspired bythe Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directiveand the Circular economy .

The second workshop was focused on air pollution andthe imperative need for mitigation measures.Participants explored the role of individual habits and behavioral changes in fostering cleaner air and healthier environments.

The initiative “Green transition of small and medium-sized enterprises in Kumanovo” is supported through the project “Tackling air pollution” which is part of the UNDP Program Framework, financed by Sweden. The project “Tackling air pollution” is implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in partnership with the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning and the municipalities of Kavadarci, Kumanovo, Gostivar, Struga and Strumica.
